I just have to share here my faith story, to encourage others that prayers are heard and answered, especially if we are in tune with God on a daily basis(praying is talking to him), and always waiting for Him to speak to us in our circumstances, through our reading(the Bible, inspirational books, help books, and even magazines), through the people we talk to and interact with, through the radio, the TV or the internet and believe it or not, He speaks to us through our dreams.
Recently, I went through a broken friendship, we both have hurt each other. I did not know how to respond when she said “we are done”, so I just kept quiet about it and let it pass. I wanted to say ‘I am sorry’ to her, but I am anxious of how she is going to respond if she is still angry at me. God knows my good intentions. I know one day I’m gonna ran into her, then what? So I prayed to God to show me a picture of how I am going to see her again, where, and how should I respond. After praying that, I just let it go and have almost forgotten about it, I maybe in a waiting stage but just didn’t care if anything comes out of that prayer or not.
I don’t remember how long since I prayed about it, but one night I had a dream, and I am sure it is a dream that God put into me, because like I asked for Him to show me a picture, He did.
In my dream I saw this “ex-friend” and she drove by my place twice, she passed by and drove back again in our street. She was looking out at me and smiling, but I thought it was sarcastic, I thought maybe she is just trying to annoy me. In the dream, one of our friends who we hang out with(there are three of us women going out together before), she was in the car too. She told me that she was the one who set us up so that we can talk again. So that was the dream about.
A few days later, as I was walking home from work, a car honked at my behind, I didn’t recognize it, then it stopped and I saw my “ex-friend” smiling, she has a new car by the way. She motioned me to get in. I got in and I gave her a long hug and I cried, but did not say anything else. She said she has seen me walking before but because she is still mad, she did not try to stop for me, but she said that on this day, because of her faith, she did. I didn’t talk all the time I was in her car and when I got off at home, I just said goodbye and thank you for the ride.
Then I emailed her. I am now more confident to speak my mind, now that she has opened the door for communication again. I humbly accepted my faults and apologized to her and also told her about that dream I had. Although she has also hurt me before with her words, I do not have to keep talking to her about that just to make her feel she also is at fault. All I am concerned about is the condition of my own heart, to humbly apologize for my own faults.I also said I am not really hoping to hang-out again with her like we do before, but it is enough that I know she has forgiven me, and I have forgiven her too, and that both of us have been healed, and that we can still be just civil to each other. After all, we have a common denominator, we are both saved by “the blood of Jesus Christ.”
God does speak to us still and if we sincerely ask for something to happen, He will answer according to His time and in His will. And truly what I have asked for is according to His will. I asked for a reconciliation and He would love to answer that prayer. I could have met my friend somewhere, but as it was shown to me in my dream, I will meet her again in her car, and it happened!
Then I told about this incident to that other friend in our threesome, and she was amazed. She told me that only that morning she was thinking about us and how she missed our bonding together and she prayed for us to be reconciled and she asked God to use her to reconcile us, just like what she said in the dream to me that she was the one who have set us up. Now, that is awesome!
Praise God!!!He is faithful and He is is leading me and teaching me and walking with me. He is for me and not against me!!!
“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”-Romans 8;3
He goes before me, walks beside me, He is my rearguard, protecting my back, and most importantly He is “in me”. I am never alone!!!! Hallelujah!!!
Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.”
Jesus said in John 15:7 “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
1 Corinthians 3:16 “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?”
Jesus, the Son of God came, to reconcile us to Himself and restore broken relationships. He loves us and wants us to walk in love with each other.
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation”(2 Corinthians 5:18)
Thank you Jesus!!!!!
